Meet my new friend, The Grumpy Pumper. For those of you unfamiliar with Diabetes Blog Week protocol, participants add blog links to a link list. Since last Monday (the first post of the week), I have varied my posting times based on the Heitert house happenings. I've posted before I go to school to teach (beginning of the list), after school and even at midnight late Friday night/early Saturday morning (way end of the list).

An advantage of signing the participant list is reading all of the clever blog names. One that caught my eye is The Grumpy Pumper. I like it. It's catchy and sums up the frequently felt emotion associated with diabetes: grumpy. However, as I read his posts this week, I found the so-called Grumpy Pumper to be quite the realist with a positive diabetic outlook. He is honest and presents himself as "an open book."

Thanks to The Grumpy Pumper for all of his blog posts for the week. I will continue to read his posts after Diabetes Blog Week is over and follow him on Twitter: @grumpy_pumper
